Here is again one of experience of “Robin Sharma-the Leadership Guru”, that we can apply to business and life:

“You don’t grow in normal, All I mean by this is that if you stay within your comfort zone, you don’t grow. But if you instead stretch and face fear head on by going to your limits, you’ll discover your limits will grow.”

Hi..can’t resist when find some good stuff in front of my eyes or when it just drops into my ears..Putting ahead some words of “Robin Sharma – Internationally acclaimed Leadership Guru”

“It’s so easy to think that just because we’re not seeing any immediate results, we’re not improving. Not true. Personal change and leadership transformation happens INVISIBLY AND INCREMENTALLY. So just because you can’t see your little daily shifts doesn’t mean you’re not progressing. And those small tiny improvements, when done with care and dedication, will lead to a remarkable shift in time. Your quantum leap.”

Yes a letter to the Guide…..it sound like a chapter in English..”a letter to the God”..but its not that..Digest this quote before heading further..

“The task of the excellent teacher is to stimulate “apparently ordinary” people to unusual effort.  The tough problem is not in identifying winners:  it is in making winners out of ordinary people. ” K. Patricia Cross

Still remember the day when i had the appointment letter from that person…and never knew that this person going to be one of the trainers, teachers and the real guide..now just beeding all in a sequence..

1. The day when i was made known to the hierarchical structure..
2. My first report so given for which i got a very first call in the morning that it is wrong..at this there were two persons one who knew it that it was prepared in proper way but as per format have some discrepancies but did not reveal it before presenting it as of under the feel of insecurity or may be J-factor and on the other hand, one person who gave initiative to prepare that report and remained silent when those discrepancies came into his notice….but by the grace of almighty i had been able to read that silence and feel sorry..
3. That was the turning point..the start of building of a team..and in fact the first loosing point for the other person..
4. So the era began of being a silent spectator and a learner..
5. And still continues……….and will continue…as still there is a lot to learn…….and probably due to possession of never ending zeal to learn…every day has been a learning day..every act has been a learning act..

Its quite late now…….but it vl bl continued with more ahead………..“Hats Off to AD…Sir”

Performance quotes..

May 31, 2009

Just surfing for performance and got to collect these..just putting up for a brief read…

“The only thing that you owe the public is a good performance.”

“For most investors, performance is better achieved with a telescope than a microscope”

“When a team outgrows individual performance and learns team confidence, excellence becomes a reality.”

“Performance stands out like a ton of diamonds. Non performance can always be explained away.”

Promises may make friends, but ’tis performances that keep them.

Life is a play. It’s not its length, but its performance that counts.

I like to be against the odds. I’m not afraid to be lonely at the top. With me, it’s just the satisfaction of the game. Just performance.

Many things difficult to design prove easy to performance.

When a goal matters enough to a person, that person will find a way to accomplish what at first seemed impossible.

What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

“Do something to move yourself toward your major goal every day.”

“Take control of your destiny. Believe in yourself. Ignore those who try to discourage you. Avoid negative sources, people, places, things and habits. Don’t give up and don’t give in.”

“Your Opponent is Yourself”

Your opponent, in the end, is never really the player on the other side of the net, or the swimmer in the next lane, or the team on the other side of the field, or even the bar you must high jump.

Your opponent is yourself, your negative internal voices, your level of determination.
We are built to conquer environment, solve problems, achieve goals, and we find no real satisfaction or happiness in life without obstacles to conquer and goals to achieve.

Me working with an NGO which is presently running in a mid day meal scheme, a multi speciality hospital and an under construction senior citizen home and on the verge of launching a Livelihood Program for youngsters and having a focus on woman. One of the appreciable act of this NGO i found was to support one child for his education, Here one or on the another angle somewhere i too find myself as a part of it as that child is being put to test for evaluating his skill by me. It really sounds good to me when i ask him something and whatever he knows he tells and when i explain the same thing to him in another way, it is felt that it makes him to feel confident somewhere as might be a little practical addition has been there to his knowlege, his confidence and his skill. Being a very tiny part of this and in the direct contact of that child gives some satisfaction that whatever we know……we are delivering in a better and fruitful way.

In this story a woman now aged 36 yrs having two children lost his husband 2 years ago in an accident. She was employed in our hospital. After this incident her whole life was changed..as that lady always smiling and of Care free nature now used to be quite and worried always for the future of her children. And then with the support of our NGO she brought her belief back to her that she is self sufficient to bring her children up. Then a monthly education fund was started for that lady to support her for the education of her children. And as his son passed his matric he opted for a Computer Education Course and then when she came into contact with me as i asked her to bring her son for a monthly interactive session to evaluate his skill. And i find that he is improving day by day in his skill.

And the satisfaction and the confidence in his mother’s eyes that his child is really getting support in this shelter through this one hour monthly session. The curiosity to know this that how much her child has gained is visible on her face all the time after the session. I wish that the God gives us such capabilities by spread of which we enlighten somone’s path and develop a sense of responsibility for bright future.

Valuation..

October 29, 2008

As the name sounds these lines are not related to the valuation of assets..If someone is doing something not being in a professional position then even in normal course of action it is accessed or can say valued in monetary terms..But the feel with which something is done can that be accessed materially..can it be paid back..can the dedication, the care of that something done be compensated..Everything is measured just in money..nothing beyond money..nothing lesser than money..In fact there is no assessment of that feel, that dedication and care..then how it cud be compensated..

But it can be compensated in the same way..with same feel, same dedication and care..yes with nothing else..I have seen something around me which forced me to think is there anything like this done for me..this post is incomplete..as still looking for around me rather somewhere inside me..

Diwali..means Happiness, Joy, Prosperity all around..

Its the most auspicious occassion in India and for Indians placed in any corner of the world..
Its the day when everyone shares happiness with others..
As the lights on night of Diwali illuminates each and every corner without any bias just like that
“For at least one day..forget all the gurdges if one have for anyone..open the arms for sharing love and happiness..”
This is the way in real to celebrate this lovely festival..
NJOY THE WHOLE DAY..THE WHOLE NIGHT..
